I might be a bit ahead of things but just wondering what this project/sub project is all about.

I got a message that my 64 bit Linux computer is not supported so what is?

I will wait whilst you get things sorted, nice to see an expansion on what we are doing (perhaps?).

(Oh and I am the first post on this message board as well.)

iThena.Computational will be responsible for the computational part.

In the old iThena project (still current), which we have now renamed to iThena.Measurements, there were only NCI applications performing network measurements.

In iThena.Computational the computational part (CPU and/or GPU?) will be already implemented.
That is, based on results of measurements from iThena.Measurements it will be possible to perform typical computational tasks in iThena.Computational (e.g. graphical problems based on topology models of Internet networks).

Predicting Dr Who Fan attack and his questions I will answer: iThena.Computational has a separate isolated resource of disk space which does not interfere with iThena.Measurements :)

That is, (small joke), it may run out of space for iThena.Measurements but not must run out of space for iThena.Computational.

These two projects have separate RAID groups based on different disks. These drives are unfortunately quite small SAS 300GB.

Is the project going to be CPU only or GPU? I ask because I only have GPU cruching on one of my machines. If CPU only, I can add it to the other one, the GPU in that one, I'm guessing, is damaged, there are arrays of spots in various points on the display when I plug the screen to that one.

The problem with the machine might not be the GPU itself of course, the spots move about if I drag a window, so it looks video memoryish. I just don't know, so err on the side of caution.

To begin with, we plan a CPU-only application.

Okay, I'll add it to the other. Both machines have the same CPU, (4GHz i7).

Is this project run by a company, educational establishment, charity, private individual?

The project is run by a non-profit organization (foundation).

I haven't received 64 bit tasks yet.
Maybe project tests which architecture works faster on what processor?

Hello!
How did this project start? What are some goals you would like to achieve? How are you using the information that you receive? I'm excited for the Windows Hex app! I'm ready to crunch.

Thank you for your time

O.k.... aside from the fact that uploads and downloads are kinda random with respect to server communication/availability... there also seems to be nobody home... at least on this thread. So far... NO idea (and we can't find anything on "internet" either) what this project actually does, who is doing it, etc. other than this very general remark about topologically mapping the internet... doh!

You found the contact very well.
Your message has arrived so I don't understand how you can't find people?

Referring to the project description you are absolutely right.
The information is very general and does not say anything specific.

I should promise here to be more active on the project forum and fill in the details ;)
I will slowly start digging myself out of old news and data ;)
